Wilfred (Jay) Roy, III - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Roy is the driving force behind AWPRx's strategic direction, development, and overall vision. As the CEO and chief architect of AWPRx's innovative proprietary services, he has crafted a unique niche in the pharmacy benefits management marketplace. Mr. Roy brings more than 20 years of experience to AWPRx, having worked extensively within the durable medical equipment, home health & infusion therapy, and pharmacy benefits management industries.
David R. Shephard - Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Shephard is the principal software developer of AWPRx's fully integrated proprietary system (better known as "Direct Access"). As CTO, Mr. Shephard is responsible for the integration of a complex browser-based system that runs around the clock to meet client needs. The system has both internal and external user interfaces and fully integrates with accounting, reporting and client data interchange requirements.
John G. Canfield - Director of Operations
Mr. Canfield joined AWPRx in September 2008 and brings to AWPRx over 15 years of operations and contact center management experience. Key areas of expertise include sales, sales leadership, plus extensive call center operations management, and product and service development with launch. John's experience spans start-ups through global corporations. The Client experience drives the business and Quality is the first part of the Client relationship.
Charles Gale - Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Mr. Gale designs and implements new client development functions within the AWPRx organization. He brings more than 10 years of experience in various areas of the insurance and workers' compensation industries and his unique experience and perspective are key to crafting customized solutions to meet each client's needs. Mr. Gale graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in marketing and a B.S. in political science.
Tina Peppers - Vice-President of Operations
Ms. Peppers brings to AWPRx 16 years of experience in the workers' compensation insurance industry, including prior positions with a carrier, MGA Insurance, third-party administrator, and a self-insured fund administrator. Her unique combination of information technology skills and insurance knowledge are invaluable and allow Ms. Peppers to effectively facilitate projects and manage compliance issues at AWPRx.
Hans Kennon - Chief Compliance Officer & In-House Counsel
Mr. Kennon brings more than 25 years of corporate and legal experience to AWPRx, having served in a number of capacities, including litigation attorney, managing attorney, and director of marketing. He also served as director of entertainment for the Trump Marina Casino-Resort and the manager of entertainment services for the Sands Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Mr. Kennon holds a B.A. in business and marketing from Stockton State College and graduated magna cum laude from the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar and Middle District of Florida, US District Court, as well as the New Jersey Bar.
Shane Hewitson - Vice-President of Business Development
Shane Hewitson joined AWPRx in March 2009 and brings over 10 years of diversified workers' compensation experience. Key areas of expertise include contract negotiation, program implementation, sales leadership, and project management. Shane's experience working with private corporations, unions, insurance companies, government bodies and TPA's enables him to help create unique program designs to fit the need of any client. Shane resides in Rochester, NY where he graduated from St John Fisher College with a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Marketing.
Jim Ringley - Director of Account Management
Mr. Ringley joined AWPRx in March 2009 and brings to AWPRx over 10 years' experience in the Workers Compensation industry. Mr. Ringley brings with him unique industry knowledge, having worked with one of the first and largest Pharmacy Benefit Managers that service the workers compensation industry. Key areas of expertise include sales, client services and account management.
Christopher La May - Software Architect
Mr. La May is a software engineer with 12 years' experience who has worked for large and mid-sized companies, as well as start-up firms. He is experienced with web-based and non web-based applications, as well as front-end and back-end development. Mr. La May holds a B.S. degree and an M.S. degree in computer engineering from the University of Central Florida.
James Williams - Director of Quality Assurance
Mr. Williams is responsible for the quality processes within the Customer Service Department. He has been actively involved in every aspect of the Customer Service Department, most recently in the role of account manager, where he provided daily oversight and direction to a team of customer service professionals. Mr. Williams has been with AWPRx for more than five years and has been instrumental in the development of customer service processes and procedures with an emphasis on enhancing overall client satisfaction.
